Photostory Friday: An Introduction

When I started blogging back in August I had this paranoid thought that if I was to expose to much personal information about my family that someone would become obsessive and find out where we live and hunt us down.  I now realize that I was probably over reacting to a situation that will never happen.  I suppose that if it does we can always take Kevin's approach to solving the problem.

Anyway.  In hopes of deterring any of you from finding out who we truly are I decided to give my kid's code names.  But I'm finding it harder and harder to remember to use their silly names when I am writing about them.  And when I use just their ages even I get confused about who I'm talking about.
So I am going to throw caution to the wind (mostly because I'm lazy) and use the next few Photostory Fridays to introduce you to my three girls.

This is Kira.

She wishes that she were 16, a vampire, and knew Edward Cullen personally.

She loves to make herself pretty, what started out as dressing up like a princess has turned to dressing up like a teenager.  (sometimes It really makes me sad)

She's a sucker for a love story.  And she cries when movies and books have sad parts.

She loves animals.  Especially cats, horses and dogs.  She wishes that we had all three.

Her laugh is contagious and is the most wonderful sound in the world.

She loves sewing, crafting, cooking and making crazy concoctions of all kinds.

When she grows up she wants to be a model, an actress, a clothes designer and a hairdresser.  She wants to be busy, which is something that she always is.

Over all she is a joy to be around, she is happy and helpful and beautiful.  And I'm glad that she's mine.

She's beautiful, Heidi! I guess she probably is very like you.I know she wants to be 16, but what age is she?
And her name is lovely too- we have an Irish name Ciara, which is probably pronounced the same.
Nice to meet you Kira!

I did a series of Photostory fridays about a year ago where I talked about my children individually, too. I look forward to reading more. And, that cake in the header looks really good. :)

She's a beauty. Isn't it so nice to actually LIKE your children in addition to loving them? I love that. :)

Glad you posted. It was a perfect PSF.

Beautiful girl! The line of safety and just being able to blog is always a tricky one. I use names, but don't ever use last names or the city where I live.
thanks for coming by my blog today.

What a beauty! Your description cracks me up. Kira would get along with my oldest very well.

I've never given my kids nicknames either -- because I'd never remember them. I think you're pretty safe, judging from your husbands firepower.

That, and the fact that you live in the middle of nowhere. :)

My word verification is "Urins." Not sure why I find that funny, but I do.

Yep, that should scare them off! And Kira and I have exactly the same vampire wish!
She's just beautiful on the outside and sounds like she's got a personality to match on the inside!

Heidi, thanks for your comment over at mine.
We still have LOADS of snow, temp was -12 last night so none melted, and further 3cm fell today, and 5 to 10 cm expected tomorrow.
People say the last year to compare with this is 1947!
We normally might get 2cm, which would fall and melt within the same day!
I've been to the park this morning and will prepare a post later.

She is beautiful! Watch out! It is sad when they want to be all grown up way too fast!

I haven't joined facebook for the very reasons you mentioned. And my blog is private. Maybe I shouldn't be so concerned. Hummm.... maybe it's time to re-think. The kids are growing up fast!

She is beautiful! Cute picture of her. I may want to join some of these other sites, but I just don't know where I want to go with my blog/photography yet. And with my camera being out of commission I may have to wait anyway. Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog, I appreciate it!

She is beautiful! And she sounds like a lot of fun. I'm sure she could teach my Ruby Jane a thing or too but that may get us all into trouble. LOL

Oh and I had to laugh about your paranoia - I had the same at first and then I also threw caution to the wind.
