In a small canyon not far from my home is an old ghost mining town called Standardville. There once stood a grand Post Office proud and strong.
Even the most sturdy of stone is eventually worn down by time.

There is nothing like an old ruin. I'm off now to do a virtual exploration of Standardville.
Oh, maaaaaaaaaan, I love this! I've been teaching about Greek and Roman architecture in theatre history and this reminds me of a lot of those ruins. So cool.

Standardville is quite an interesting name. I've never been to a ghost mining town. Sounds like it would be fun.

Oh this is a really neat picture. It must be cool to see the history there.
You can see how grand it was. It does very well in sepia.
There is a certain charm and style, even as it is being destroyed. Sepia seems to soften the look of the jagged rubble on the ground. It looks softer and easy on the eyes, and the term 'junk' really is not applicable here...
